Wellington, Fla. – Aug.13, 2017 – Equestrian Aid Foundation announced that Monmouth at the Team, held Aug.14-20 in Gladstone, New Jersey, will participate in their new horse show program, Show You Care. The show management has designated Wednesday’s Low Adult Hunter and the $1,500 Bit O’ Straw Pre-Adult and Pre-Child Classic, sponsored by Signature Spurs as Show You Care classes. Janise Gray, Equestrian Aid Foundation’s director of grant recipient services will be on hand.

“We are horse people, and most of our friends are horse people,” said Monmouth at the Team co-owner Tucker Ericson. “We didn’t hesitate to get on board with Show You Care. Equestrian Aid Foundation has been helping horse people for many years. We are proud to welcome them to Monmouth at the Team."

In 2016, Tucker Ericson and Michael Dowling purchased the Monmouth County Horse Show, the longest continuously-run horse show in the nation. They renamed it Monmouth at the Team and moved it to the iconic Hamilton Farm, headquarters of the USET Foundation and former training grounds of the U.S. Equestrian Team.

“This is a very special show with a rich history, and we are proud and grateful to participate with our Show You Care program,” said Louise Smith, executive director of Equestrian Aid Foundation. We are particularly thankful to Tucker, Michael and our board member, Missy Luczak-Smith, who is a sponsor of the show, for being champions for horse people in need."

The Show You Care program is a way for horse show managers to support the Equestrian Aid Foundation’s mission of helping critically ill and injured horse people—from riders and grooms to judges and ground crew; the very people who populate show grounds day after day.

Competitors receive a green Show You Care lapel ribbon, provided by Equestrian Aid Foundation to show their support. Riders are encouraged to wear their ribbons throughout the show and share their photos on social media (hashtags #ShowYouCare and #EquestrianAidFoundation). Winners of a monthly Show You Care social media photo contest will win a prize.
